“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

At James Leafstead's memorial, I shared:
"As life moves on, we realize that we don’t really control much here. Then our thoughts go to “What’s next?” and we realize that we don’t have any control there either. This is when a discipline of trust comes in handy: I trusted Jesus; I trust Jesus. I’m counting on Him. In fact, I look forward to letting go of all control and letting the Lord of the Universe take care of things.
"I think I saw glimpses of that joy in Jim’s last years. Glimpses – worrying less about lost control, and taking joy in the opportunities that we get when we have less to worry about. And looking forward to shovel-ready projects that God was getting ready for him."
